Join industry business leaders, decision-makers, work health and safety professionals and experts in a series of social events, roundtable conversation groups, technical tours, workshops and more. These sessions are your chance to connect and network with fellow conference delegates to help shape change for the future world of work. 

The Family and Injured Workers Support and Advisory Group (FIWSAG) is currently co-chaired by Matt Beckhaus and Jacqueline Quinlivan, and consists of 11 members who have first-hand experience of either being injured at work or are a family member of someone who has died in a work-related incident. The FIWSAG allows the families of those injured or killed in the workplace to have their voices heard and advises the NSW Government on how to improve workplace health and safety, as well as helping to develop resources for those who experience workplace incidents.

 

The FIWSAG have developed two guides and supporting brochures to assist injured workers and families that have experienced a workplace fatality. Additionally, the FIWSAG has just published four stories online giving first-had accounts of how people have been affected following a workplace death or serious injury.  All these resources can be found on the NSW Government website at https://www.nsw.gov.au/nsw-government/projects-and-initiatives/family-and-injured-workers-support-and-advisory-group
