Evelyn oversees policies related to occupational safety and health, in particular to strengthen workplace safety and health (WSH) ownership and build a sustainable WSH culture in Singapore. She also oversees policies related to ensuring the well being of Singapore’s migrant workforce. Prior to her current role in the Ministry of Manpower, she was part of the Whole-of-Government Joint Taskforce providing support to migrant workers and dormitory operators in the fight against COVID-19. She also had stints in the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Social and Family Development. She has a BSc in Psychology from the University College London and a MSc in Decision Sciences from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
