Vanessa possesses a well-rounded educational background and research focus in the areas of human factors and safety. She holds a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Medical Microbiology and Immunology, a Diploma in Innovation Management, and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of New South Wales. Vanessa's research interests encompass various domains, including psychosocial hazards and work re-design, safety and risk management, and educational design, delivery, and digital technologies. Additionally, she actively contributes to the field as an Associate of the Disability Innovation Institute, promoting disability research and fostering collaboration at UNSW.
