Steven Verpaele, Certified Industrial Hygienist performed research work mainly on sampling and analysis for dust and elemental compositions in workplace atmospheres. He is also founder of the Belgian Centre for Occupational Hygiene. He has more than 20 years’ experience as an Industrial Hygienist and as an expert in different ISO and CEN workgroups,mainly focused on workplace atmosphere. Currently he chairs the committee on workplace atmospheres at ISO level. He is also co-chair of the Occupational Hygiene Training Association (OHTA) and board member of the Belgian Society for Occupational Hygiene and the European Platform for Occupational Hygiene.
