 Prior to joining Flare, David was Vice President of Global Solutions and Advanced Research at Appen (ASX: APX). Appen is the largest provider of training data for AI/ML globally. The Solutions and Advanced Research divisions that David led work at the frontier of artificial intelligence and machine learning for Appen's largest global customers, partnering with them on experiment architecture, POC and pilot design, analytics, and global scaling across all specialist domains.
 
 David has also held executive positions as Managing Director, Chief Digital Officer and Executive Vice President in public, large private and start-up companies. David is also the co-founder of C2 Investments, a venture capital firm specializing in seed stage companies.
