Susan Peters, PhD is a Research Scientist and Project Lead forThriving Workers, Thriving Workplaces at the Harvard Center for Work, Health and Well-being. She has been involved in the development, implementation and testing of participatory integrated organizational interventions in transportation, construction, and food service designed to improve the safety, health, and well-being of workers. She recently led the development of the Thriving from Work conceptual framework and questionnaires. Her current field of research is focusing on how working conditions and public and organizational policies shape thriving workers, thriving workforces, and thriving workplaces. She has research interests in how the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated changes anticipated in the future of work, workforces and workplaces, and determinants and processes for workers returning to work, and staying at work, after injury and illness. Dr. Peters received her PhD from the University of Queensland. She is also an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience. She completed post-doctoral fellowships at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Environmental Health and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
