Professional Bio
SUSAN FLEMING COMPANY FOUNDER, EDUCATION INNOVATOR B.Ed, Adv Dip Leadership and Management, GAICD, Fellow AIM, member PSA. Susan is an education innovator and business leader committed to global best practices, creating new cultural value and impact on safety and health with industrial theatre and film. From Defence to aerospace, oil and gas, and industrials, ACT theatre-based storytelling challenges leadership and accountability for enterprise risk and culture for better safety and health outcomes. Theatre brings the impact of lessons learned from true stories to life. From the explosions of Deepwater Horizon and Fukushima to the RAF Nimrod and the NASA space shuttle, stories and analyses remind us there is much to learn from behaviours and events being played out in front of us. Being part of an audience experiencing the catalyst of these, individuals are faced with the personal impact these stories have - and their opportunities to make a difference. As Founder and Director of ACT Australia and New Zealand, a theatre-based safety and leadership training company, Susan draws on over 25 year’s leadership experience. Her international film experience includes production in Australia, the USA, Israel, and Italy. Susan has 10 years Board experience and is Currently Chair of the Child Safety Foundation and Founding Chair, of THEATRE180 Formerly the State Director of the economic think tank and research group CEDA (The Committee for Economic Development), Susan was also Convenor for the UWA Ocean’s Institute Thought Leadership Dialogue Series for Professor Carlos Duartes.
