Ockert Dupper is the Global Programme Manager of the Vision Zero Fund (VZF) at the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland. VZF is a G7 initiative that has also been endorsed by the G20. Administered by the ILO, VZF aims to eliminate work-related deaths, injuries and diseases in global supply chains around the world. Currently, VZF is operational in eight countries across three continents and in the supply chains of three sectors: garment/textiles, agriculture and construction. It operates primarily in low-income countries. Before joining the ILO, Ockert was Director of Monitoring and Vice-President of Programs at the Fair Labor Association (FLA) in Washington, D.C. (2012-2014), and Professor of Law at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa (1996-2012), where he specialised in labour law and social security law. He holds degrees from the University of Stellenbosch, University of Cape Town, and Harvard Law School.
