Dr. Inoka Suraweera, MBBS, MSc, MD (Community Medicine) Dr Inoka Suraweera graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka with second class honours and holds Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Community Medicine from the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She had her post-doctoral training at Monash Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. She currently works at the Directorate of Environmental and Occupational Health at the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka as a Consultant Community Physician and is the technical head of the Environmental and Occupational Health Unit of the Ministry of Health in Sri Lanka. She is actively engaged in both undergraduate and post graduate medical teaching in the areas of occupational and environmental health. She has published several journal articles on occupational health and environmental health in peer-reviewed journals and made several presentations and speeches at national and international conferences in the areas of Occupational and Environmental Health.
