Professional Bio

Claire has worked at the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (Victorian Branch) since 2014. She has completed a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from RMIT and a Master Employment and Labour Relations Law from Melbourne University. Prior to joining the ANMF, Claire worked as an OHS Manager in a private hospital. Claire started her career as a Physiotherapist, working for 10 years in hospitals, aged care and private practice. It was through her experience working in healthcare and treating injured nurses and carers she became passionate about being involved in the prevention of injuries and illness. Working at the ANMF, Claire assists with developing and implementing policy and strategy to proactively prevent and manage occupational injuries and illness amongst ANMF members. She is passionate about making systemic change in health and aged care to ensure the safety of nurses, midwives and carers.
