Christian grew up in a middle class family, which lived in Nairobi and Mombasa cities in Kenya. He started off his career as a civil engineer working in the oil and gas sector where he got his first exposure to occupational health and safety and developed more passion for it. Christian would later start studying and practicing occupational health and safety as a full time career, working in gold mines in Tanzania and in DR Congo, also in a pozzolana mining quarry and thereafter in oil and gas downstream sector where he works to date. He is extensively knowledgeable in the international legal, professional and good practice in the occupational health and safety field.
