Professional Bio

Ms Adeline Ng is a Chemist-turned-Statistician with over 15 years of experience in analysing labour market and socio-economic issues. Her experience spans from R&D in an ultra-high vacuum environment and validation of a pharmaceutical plant to operations policy-making, market analysis and research.

She is currently the Director of Workplace Safety and Health Institute (WSHI), a department in the Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHD), Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Envisioned as a key initiative to safeguard the safety and health of persons at work, the Institute provides timely and evidence-based analysis of existing and emerging WSH issues to facilitate informed decision making on WSH policies and strategies. It also partners organisations and Institutes of Higher Learning to develop practical WSH tech solutions and psychosocial assessment tools for the industry.

Adeline also holds the concurrent appointment as the Director of Planning, Information and Corporate Services Department within OSHD. The department looks after the day-to-day operations in customer, licensing and Information Technology systems, as well as ensures all operations planning and corporate matters for the division are met.
