Unions have made the world safer (tackling hazards like asbestos and silica) and must address issues like psychosocial risks, AI, cancer, cardiovascular disease and climate change. Now that a safe and healthy working environment has been recognized by the ILO as a fundamental principle and right at work, what needs to happen to ensure workers organize to deliver that right in practice and reduce workplace injuries, illnesses and deaths?
